Culminado el proceso electoral, con el conteo de la ONPE al 100% de actas procesadas de los 521,256 electores, 365,515 sanmartinenses participaron del proceso, lo que en porcentaje representa el 70.12% de participación ciudadana.
De las cuales, 261,274 son votos válidos, 14,556 ciudadanos votaron en blanco, 89,685 ciudadanos anularon su voto, es decir, 104,241 votos no han sido válidos.
Tras el conteo fue Acción Popular el partido que más votos obtuvo logrando un total de 66 mil 211 votos, lo que representa el 25.34% de electores, en segundo lugar Alianza Para el Progreso con 29.826 votos a su favor, 11.42%, en tercer lugar Fuerza Popular, con 23,581 votos ocupando el tercer lugar.
Es así que conocido el resultado los candidatos que han salido elegidos como congresistas por San Martín, va como primer representante Manuel Aguilar Zamora, con 27, 791 votos a su favor, seguido por Rolando Rubén Ruiz Pinedo, con 11,391 votos, ambos de Acción Popular, el tercer escaño congresal ocupa la candidata Robertina Santillana Paredes, con 9,109 votos preferenciales de Alianza para el Progreso y el cuarto escaño para San Martín, ocupa el Dr. Gilmer Trujillo Zegarra, de Fuerza Popular, quien ingresa finalmente por la cuestionada cifra repartidora 5,515 votos
