Para tratar de mitigar el problema, Pedro Bogarin, gobernador regional de San Martín, manifestó en conferencia de prensa la rehabilitación e implementación de tres nosocomios, uno en Moyobamba, otro en La Banda de Shilcayo, y un tercero en Tocache, para que funcionen como hospitales especializados en el manejo del COVID 19.
Hasta que eso sea realidad, la red hospitalaria, esa que le costó a la región más de 585 millones de soles, debía servir como centros hospitalarios adecuados para brindar las primeras atenciones y cumplir con los protocolos médicos respectivos en pacientes con coronavirus.
Sin embargo, los siete hospitales, que conforman la famosa red hospitalaria en San Martín, consideradas incluso por el ex gobernador regional Víctor Noriega como gigantescos proyectos, hoy muestran su verdadera realidad, estas no sirven de mucho o por no decir no están debidamente acondicionadas para atender a pacientes con ese mal.
Todo producto del daño colateral originado por quienes tuvieron en sus manos la responsabilidad y compromiso social, durante la implementación y acondicionamiento con los equipos médicos y biomédicos, que debían ser de última tecnología, de última generación, pero que en la realidad estos serían desfasados, de segundo uso y hasta repotenciados. Como en el caso del hospital de la provincia de Tocache.
Un hospital recientemente inaugurado, casi a raja tabla, que según este informe del OCI – del PEHCBM, oficio N° 005-2020, su equipamiento biomédico es adversa porque en este informe practicada al hospital en enero 2020, se determinó que algunos equipos médicos, equipos biomédicos, equipos de diagnóstico por imágenes, equipos complementarios y mobiliario clínico no cumplirían con las especificaciones técnicas requeridas en la memoria descriptiva de equipamiento Hospital II-1 Tocache; además, según este informe, estarían instalados de manera deficiente respecto a la normativa vigente y normativa internacional que rige para protección radiológica.
