Rioja en pie de lucha por incremento de tarifa por consumo de agua potable

Rioja. ¿Se imagina usted pagar por un servicio de agua potable, que de un monto aproximado entre 15 a 30 soles en casa, de un mes a otro, esta cifra se multiplique 40 veces y tenga que pagar hasta 344 soles?
Este es el caso de cientos de pobladores de Rioja, distrito capital de la provincia del mismo nombre, quienes han llamado hasta de estafadores a la empresa municipal responsable del servicio de agua potable y alcantarillado SEDAPAR – Rioja, porque, de acuerdo al reajuste tarifario por ese servicio, realizado por la empresa, sus montos en sus recibos de agua se han incrementado considerablemente.
Lo que es peor esta empresa municipal no ha podido hasta hoy, sustentar las razones o motivos reales del porqué ese exagerado incremento, en un servicio de agua que no sería la más eficiente.
Por ello contra todo pronóstico, estos pobladores acataron un paro preventivo de 48 horas, fueron los días 13 y 14 de este mes, los dos días de lucha, donde la población se volcó a las calles exigiendo la disminución de esos elevados costos, así como la renuncia de Andrés Tarazona, un economista de profesión, quien es el gerente general de la empresa municipal de Servicio de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado – SEDAPAR Rioja.
