Mientras que en la ciudad capital la máxima lideresa de Fuerza Popular salía de esta sede del ministerio público enmarrocada y resguardada por la Policía Nacional, cumpliendo la orden de detención preliminar de 10 días emitida por el juez Richard Concepción Carhuancho, al ser sindicada por el fiscal de lavado de activos José Domingo Pérez de encabezar una presunta organización delictiva que habría recibido un millón de dólares de la empresa ODEBRECHT.
En la ciudad de Tarapoto la gravedad de este terremoto político fue tal que alcanzó hasta las altas esferas del gobierno regional de San Martín, tras conocerse la orden de detención de Aurora Torrejón Riva actual gerente de desarrollo social y de Walter Rengifo Saavedra actual director de la dirección regional de Trabajo, así como de una trabajadora del proyecto Huallaga todos de la gestión regional de Fuerza Popular.
