“Cáncer 2017” alcanza al alcalde David Bazán y conmociona a la población de Tocache
El 14 de junio del año 2007 Sendero Luminoso comandados por camaradas Piero y JL, emboscaron a un vehículo de la DIROES de Tocache producto de esta acción terrorista murieron el fiscal provincial de Tocache, Arturo Campos Vicente, y tres agentes de la Dirección de Operaciones Especiales (Diroes), en circunstancias que retornaban de intervenir un camión con combustible, que aparentemente transportaba para ser utilizado en el proceso de elaboración de PBC, esto fue exactamente en el ramal de Cachiyacu jurisdicción de la provincia antes mencionada.
De aquella repudiable acción aún se guarda un audio inédito en la que se escucha claramente el salvajismo y la crueldad con que actuaban las huestes de sendero Luminoso, en aquel entonces.
