Pepe Terrones, alcalde del distrito de Pinto Recodo, provincia de Lamas, uno de los primeros alcaldes de San Martín, que fue intervenido en estado de ebriedad, desacatando el toque de queda, nuevamente hace noticia, otra vez por hechos negativos, que es lo que pasó, qué es lo que sucedió, en esta oportunidad a decir de las autoridades y representantes de organizaciones sociales del pueblo, trata de esconder un hecho muy grave, un accidente de tránsito en donde la camioneta del municipio quedó con graves daños materiales, de tal manera hoy se encuentra en un taller de Moyobamba.
Nadie sabe a ciencia cierta de cómo se dio el hecho, de acuerdo a información dado a conocer en las redes sociales, el accidente ocurrió en la trocha carrozable que une los caserios La Victoria y Dos Unidos, en el centro poblado de Gozen, probablemente el día miércoles 18 de agosto a las 3:30 de la mañana, en pleno toque de queda, ante el silencio del alcalde, la población a través de sus representantes exige que diga la verdad.
