Este 12 de septiembre se conmemoró 25 años de la denominada ‘captura del siglo’, cuando en una casa de la urbanización Los Sauces de Surquillo en Lima se capturó a Abimael Guzmán conocido también como el Presidente Gonzalo, y a la cúpula de Sendero Luminoso, lo que significó el inicio de la Paz y del fin de aquellos años de sangre para el Perú.
La Región San Martín lamentablemente ha sido parte de esta negra historia y que hoy en enfoques vamos a recordar y no llegar a la situación del olvido para que una historia de esta naturaleza no vuelva a suceder nunca más.
